DAY 26 (AM): FRIDAY 3RD OCTOBER 2025

The last few days have actually been quite good as I’ve started to take some action on my fitness and business goals. I have been doing my half marathon training runs before the gym which has meant I’ve had more time during the day for work, and I’ve been using my work time well.

Setting myself a goal of a half marathon in under 1 hr 30 mins has helped with motivation to lose weight because I know that to give myself a chance on this, I need to be a few kg’s lighter and ideally racing around 89kg.

Work has been more productive the last few days and I’ve got better at pushing through discomfort and getting work done despite how I might feel. Yesterday I completed 8.03 productive hours, although only 5.70 on Wednesday. All in all I’m reasonably happy with how I’m tracking.

However now it’s Friday and this is where I need to capitalise on the week that I’ve had so far. Monday-Thursday is only just over half a week but we often treat it like it’s the full week. Then I tend to make bad decisions starting around Friday afternoon. But I want to put the hammer down from Friday-Sunday so that I’m starting next week fresh and carrying over some big momentum from the weekend.

How will that look practically?

Carving out pockets of time to chip away at work. Because of a bad start to the week, I’ve only done 20.71 productive hours this week meaning that I’m 36 hours away from my 56 hour goal. It will be extremely difficult to hit this but if I can get to 40 productive hours then I will call this a success.

It’s funny how little humans work these days compared to historical times. 40 productive hours used to be standard but because technology has got so good, we can get by despite doing less. I am trying to ramp up my productivity and it’s not a given that I’ll get to 40 hours this week because I tend to fall off a cliff over the weekend.

I also need to make some really good decisions around my eating. I am playing in a networking golf day today and it’s going to be about making small, good decisions. This might be limiting the amount of food I eat, not snacking at every opportunity, and then when I get home forcing myself to go for a small walk to recalibrate my mind so I don’t come home and just start eating.

For work, I’m on the verge of something great, I know that. I just need to put my foot down with customer service, LinkedIn, SEO, Warm Leads, Google Ads etc. There is so much opportunity to do something unbelievably great and it’s going to come off the back of 6 months of grind to build up the systems and processes that we operate in.

We will own great marketing assets and processes to drive up our value, we will have strong processes for dealing with customers and we’ll make it an emphasis that we treat clients extremely well. I’ll keep turning work around as quickly as possible and delivering good outcomes.

The next 6 months are going to be the most impactful of my life, I absolutely know it.
